What is Hypnosis?
Therapeutic hypnosis is a state of "altered" consciousness (or awareness). It is not un-consciousness, a misleading impression sometimes given by state entertainers using hypnosis.

In hypnosis,

you hear and remember everything.
You are in full control at all times.
You will not say anything you wouldn’t normally say.
You will not do anything you would’ve normally do.

Hypnotherapy is a guided technique which can enable you to easily change some unwanted behaviors, reaction or response in your life. Hypnosis is a "STATE of CONCENTRATED ACTION and RELAXATION". Hypnosis is your choice and the therapist merely guides you, you choose the level.
The benefit of hypnosis is that it has a cumulative effect, so each and every time you choose to enter a state of hypnosis, you achieve a much deeper level of hypnosis.
One thing to remember is that all hypnosis is self -hypnosis! You are in control at all times!, you do not reveal any secrets you would not normally openly discuss. Nothing is ever done which might embarrass you or cause you any discomfort.

You cannot be left in a permanent state of hypnosis. If for instance something were to happen to the therapist while you are hypnotized , you would drift off into a deep sleep and wake up whithin 3-4 minutes feeling happy and refreshed. Just like driving a car……. The only things which can interfere with you being successful with hypnosis are…..

excessive anxiety on your part i.e. fear of losing control.
you trying too hard
